- The aim and scope of the On-line Consultation

The on-line consultation: "ERA Coordination Initiative in the field of Networked Enterprise" targets to validate and update/enrich findings regarding the existing situation in EU-27 (plus Turkey) with respect to:

1. The national and regional ICT policies / research programmes relevant to the field of Networked Enterprise and its four key areas.
2. The relevant ICT technologies / research areas which are currently included / supported by the national and regional research programmes.
3. The relevant ICT technologies / research areas which are expected to be in the near future of special importance for each of the EU-27 countries (plus Turkey).
4. The degree of interest of the EU-27 countries to collaborate / participate in ERA coordination activities in the field of Networked Enterprise and its four key areas plus the existing and preferred modes / levels of coordination.
5. Recommendations for the coordination actions that should be deployed between the Member States and/or between the Member States and EU.

- The target group of the on-line consultation:

1. Public representatives / policy makers / managing authorities of research programmes (i.e. research ministries, research agencies, etc) at European, national, and regional levels
2. The interested stakeholders from the research and industrial communities.

- The outcomes of the on-line consultation will be used to:

1. Assist in the identification of research areas / technologies of common interest among EU Member States and / or EU Member States and European research programmes.
2. Validate the above mentioned EC Study’s findings.
3. Provide input and insights for the definition and design of the Study’s ERA coordination activities that target to engage in discussions public representatives / policy makers and research and industrial stakeholders interested in the field of Networked Enterprise and its key research areas with a view to improve ERA coordination in the field.

- The outcomes of the on-line consultation will be disseminated in the:

1. ERA Study’s web portal (www.networked-enterprise-era.eu)
2. ERA Study’s forthcoming workshops (Dec. 07 – Jun. 08)
3. To more than 500 national and regional representatives, research and industrial stakeholders from EU27.
